CD burning software
 (Nero Burning ROM vs. Easy CD Creator Platinum)

Both are great cd burners, both can burn data and audio CDs. Where is the difference? The prices are not very different. Why should you choose Nero Burning ROM 6.0 or Easy CD  Platinum ?

Nero is easier, more user and system friendly, especially for Data CDs, while Easy Cd Platinum is fantastic for Audio Cds (it has a lot of controls to improve the quality of mp3s to sound great on audio CDs, and still is very easy to use). Recently Nero has added many features for improving audio results, but cannot match Easy Cd.
Furthermore, Nero is great for creating covers: Nero Cover Designer is included in the package, a software not very powerful, but extremely easy to master, and you can create nice covers for your Cds in a moment. Easy Cd Platinum  is great for galleries of pictures. You can easily manage thousands of photos (pictures, etc.) and save them in galleries (with thumbnails, etc.) on your CDs.

So, you should buy Nero Burning ROM if you plan to write mainly Data CDs, and Easy Cd Platinum if you are planning to write mainly Audio CDs.

There are other interesting CD ROM burner apps I would like to suggest: Alcohol 120% (excellent for making backups of own CDs and DVDs) and Feurio, a great tool for burning CD Audio.

OVERALL: Both Great
