Firefox is a free, open-source web
browser based on the Mozilla
codebase. It is small, fast and easy
to use, and offers many advantages
over Internet Explorer, such as the
ability to block pop-up, or a great
control about passwords. Aside
from preventing popup windows,
Firefox will also stop a number of
other actions that have been
annoying web surfers for years, like
status bar tricks (e.g. animating
status bar tickers, and spoofing
that prevents you from seeing where
links really go).
Firefox supports a large number
of
quality themes
which can be downloaded for free.
These themes can change the
appearance of everything from the
browser window, to dialog boxes,
buttons, menus, etc.

FireTune is based on a collection of
popular and well working
optimization settings used and
tested by the experts. FireTune
includes all the performance
optimizations. The only thing you
have to do is: make your selection.
FireTune takes care of the rest.
Nothing of so outstanding, but speed
seems to increase of about 25-30%.

Mozilla |
| Fantastic Open Source browser,
which can completely replace
Explorer. Compared to the latter,
you can straight away notice a
greater speed and an excellent
management of passwords. For those
who are used to use lots of
passwords (maybe for various forums
and so forth), will find in Mozilla
all they have always looked for.
Really an excellent product.

Opera |
| The fastest browsers of all. Its
main characterisitc is speed,
especially in opening pages already
visited. Within a fraction of a
second, you can go back and forth
all the pages visited with a simple
click of a mouse (this is what has
made this browser so popular). In
addition, it has an excellent
support for downloading, including
resume (downloads can be interrupted
and resumed at a later stage). It is
shareware and the version that you
can download has no limitations,
except for a banner that is
displayed at the top of the page.
However, it does not work with all
web sites (although it works with at
least 95% of them). It is for this
reason alone that I don't give it
the 'excellent' status.
