testing RAM and its compatibility
with motherboard. There is no
another app that can compete with
it. You will need more than 1 hour
for completing one pass of the test
(more hours if you will wait for
more passes), but afterwards -if
your pc passes the test- you will be
sure that you have no troubles with
your RAM. If your pc fails the
test... now you know why you have so
many crashes....

MemTest 86+ |
Like GoldMemory, this application
makes a complete test of RAM (but
this is freeware)
The first version of Memtest86+ was
released on early 2004, based on
memtest86 v3.0 that was not updated
since mid-2002, with the add of some
useful settings for the most popular
chipsets. For exemple, on
i865PE/i875P series, memtest86+ will
display FSB & Memory frequency, PAT
status, memory timings, ECC status
and the number of memory channels.
Please, consider that you should
make the complete test and not only
the fast test.

Prime 95 |
| This is a free application used
to find Mersenne Prime Numbers, but
is also widely used to test CPU (and
many times the efficiency of
heatsink, generally by overclockers)
on our pc. There are a lot of
interesting tests for CPU,
especially 'torture tests', that put
your processor under great effort
for testing its integrity. If your
CPU passes the tests, you can quite
sure it will not make errors in
normal usage.

HOT CPU Tester

| Hot CPU Tester Pro 4 consists of
several test modules to stress-test
each component within a system.
Defective parts are most likely for
to fail while they are under a heavy
load, when the heat production is at
its highest. The testing modules
intentionally stress all components
to their maximum limits to assess
their integrity.
Unstable parts cannot endure
these pressures and will fail the
tests. Hot CPU Tester should run
for at least six hours to fully
check the system. If a system is
stable under hard conditions for six
hours, it is unlikely to generate
errors during normal operating
conditions.

Burning Test Pro |

BurnIn Test does
is thoroughly exercise the hardware
in a PC in a short period of time,
in the same way as normal
applications use a PC over a long
period of time. This takes advantage
of the fact that computer hardware
tends to fail either very early in
its life or after many thousands of
hours of use.
BurnInTest will
bring to the surface intermittent or
hidden problems so that after a
successfully run the computer can be
used with a much higher level of
confidence. BurnInTest can also be
used by overclockers to verify
system stability at high clock
speeds.
BurnInTest tests
the CPU via mathematical operations
and SIMD calculations, hard drives,
RAM, CD ROMs, CD burners, DVDs,
sound cards, 2D graphics, 3D
graphic, network connection,
printers and video playback. This
can all be done simultaneously as
the application is multithreaded.
HOT CPU is more
focused on tests about CPU and
Motherboard, while Burning Test is
more focused on the whole pc.
