Thousands of skins, beautiful GUIs, and a lot of plugins that
increase its features (from graphic to audio quality, and much more).
Anyway... with years it seems to be afflicted by giantism
syndrome, shifting form a few kb to many MB (a syndrome that
appears to afflict a lot of applications, unfortunately...)

| XMPlay is an audio player, supporting the OGG / MP3 / MP2
/ MP1 / WMA / WAV / MO3 / IT / XM / S3M / MTM / MOD / UMX audio
formats, and PLS / M3U / ASX playlists. A load more formats are also
supported via Winamp plugins. It takes only 300 kb; uses a very few
resources for a very good quality. download

| Foobar 2000 |
| One of the best audio player for Windows. The GUI almost does not
exist, but this makes it to use a very few resources. It supports an
incredible numer of audio formats, even FLAC, APE, MPC and many more
without the need of plugins. In short: you lose in GUI, but you earn
in compatibility (IMPORTANT: download foobar2000 special version,
since it natively supports everything).
