commercial partitioning software
like Partition Magic or Partition
Expert, anyway SwissKnife is the
only FREE tool that allows to format
and create Partitions in NTFS
format, the best partition format for
Windows XP (old Fat32 is not on the
same level). Supports Hi-Speed USB,
PCMCIA, SATA, SCSI, USB 1.1, and
FireWire external drives. Not so outstanding,
not many features, but 100% free..

| For many years has been the best
Partitioning Software for Windows on
the market. Now there are other
great tools (like Acronis Partition
Expert), but Partition Magic is
anyway in the top 3. You can do
almost everything with it: create
partitions, delete, move, change
dimensions, change format. You
can use Partition Magic 8.0 to run
multiple operating systems safely.

Another great
partitioning tool. Very similar to
Partition Magic, and same features.
Acronis Partition Manager seems to
be better in recognizing unknown
partition formats. FAT16,
FAT32, NTFS, Linux
Ext2, Ext3, ReiserFS,
and Linux SWAP partition
support. Supports large disks over
180 Gb.
